About Our Studio
Emily is excited to be a part of the Studio A family for the first time this year. Born and raised in the Chicago suburbs, Emily started dancing at 3 years old. There she trained and competed all the way up to the national level. Once in high school, she was a member of the Sycamore High School Dance Team where she served as captain. Her dance team experience lead her to competing at the state and national levels for both TDI and IHSA. She was also awarded the All American individual award and received an "Excellence in Choreography" award. One of her many cherished memories is getting to compete nationally at Disney World!
Emily attended Iowa State University where she continued her passion for dance through classes and performance opportunities through her sorority. Emily served as a coach for her chapter 4 times where she was head of choreography and lead her teams to finals, as well as winning 1st Place. She also performed as a main character in roles such as Joy from Inside Out and Claire from The Breakfast Club. Emily's performance as Claire lead her to receiving the Best Actress Award for her dancing and execution.
After graduating from Iowa State in 2017, Emily worked in Des Moines with special needs students as well as teaching dance to students of all ages. She then spent this most recent year living in Charlottesville, Virginia where she taught as an assistant 1st Grade teacher. New to the Quad Cities, Emily is excited to teach with Studio A and help her dancers grow in their love for dance. When Emily isn't dancing she is going back to school to get her Masters in Education so she can one day have her own classroom!

Studio A provided a safe space for me to let go & be complately myself whenever I walked through the doors. I made lifelong friendships there and was given amazing training that prepared me for my professional dance career. I don't know where I'd be without the Studio A family, & I am so gradteful that I got to be a apart of such a great studio.
Studio A is a place where my daughter is allowed to be creative in new ways while being fearless and strong.
We are so grateful and love being part of Studio A Dance. It's not just a dance studio, it's a family! The staff of teachers are beyond talented and dedicated to each dancer. My girl has not only learned dance over the years, she's also learned valuable life lessons. The teachers have helped shape her into a beautiful dancer and the person she is today!
