Megan Van Dyke

Born and raised in the Quad Cities, Megan Van Dyke has been dancing since the age of five. She has danced with multiple dance companies locally, as well as the Chicago suburbs. Megan has called Studio A home since the age of fourteen. She danced with the competition company all through her high school years, and also began teaching and doing choreography work of her own at Studio A. After now almost 20 years of dancing, Megan has worked and trained with some of the top choreographers in the industry. Through her years of competitive dancing with the studio, as well as attending countless dance conventions and workshops, Megan has received several scholarships and numerous awards for her work as a dancer and choreographer. She won many 1st place titles as a soloists, as well as placing in the top 10 at regional competitions through her competition days. In 2012 she was presented the HC Dancer scholarship from Bill Bohl of Movement Talent Agency in Hollywood, CA to assist the full faculty of Hollywood Connection Dance convention in cities across the U.S. Megan has combined all of her years of training in the styles of ballet, jazz, hiphop, contemporary, lyrical, and tap and now has her own unique style of choreography. Outside of the studio, her work has included local show choir choreography, as well as local events such as Dance For Diversity with the Boys and Girls Club, the annual Love Girls Magazine award shows, and "The Renovation" show in partnership with QC United and Pete the Purple Bull against bullying to name just a few. This is Megan's 6th year on staff at Studio A, and her second season working with the competition company as a teacher since her competitive dancing days. Megan's classes are energetic and always filled with positive encouragement to her students. Her passion for dance shines from the classroom to the stage.
